The Bereft Bouquet

Blooms watered by tears of grief and love, the Bereft Bouquet is an ode to mourning and the beauty that can grow despite the darkness that surrounds. Inspired by the language of the flowers, the Bereft Bouquet features a magenta zinnia {enduring friendship}, a blue cornflower {be gentle with me}, a red carnation bud {my heart aches for you} and a monarch butterfly {hope, change, freedom}. A perfect piece to be worn close to the heart.

This brooch is made from laser cut acrylic, then pieced together with care, from an original sketch by Buttercup’s Babe. It uses a mix of acrylics and hand painted bamboo, with lots (and lots) of hand painted details. Measuring 5cm wide & 7.6cm high, it has a stainless steel brooch backing and can be worn on your shirt, jacket, bag, hat... your creativity is the limit!

Please keep in mind:
Our brooches are assembled and painted by hand, whilst we strive to make them all look identical, there will be small differences due to the handmade nature of this art. Any acrylic with a pattern through is will mean each and every brooch will be slightly different, this is what we consider one of the best parts of brooch making - every piece is unique! Please be careful with your brooches, although they are sturdy, if you drop them, they could break.
